BDG Net - Responsible Gaming

BDG Net responsible gaming: how to set deposit and time limits, recognise problem-gambling warning signs, self-exclude, and reach confidential 18+ support helplines.

Play within your limits

Responsible gaming on BDG Net begins with a simple rule: only spend money you can afford to lose completely. Before every session, set a hard budget in writing, ₹200, ₹500, or whatever your disposable income allows, and treat it as the price of entertainment, not an investment. Never fund gaming through rent money, EMI instalments, grocery budgets, or savings held in accounts linked to PhonePe, GPay, or BHIM. If your balance runs out, log off rather than topping up impulsively via UPI.

Keep sessions time-boxed. Set a phone alarm for 30 or 60 minutes before you start. Short, scheduled sessions are far less likely to spiral than open-ended ones. Alternate gaming days with other leisure activities, cricket, reading, or spending time with family, so that BDG Net remains one option among many, not your default way to unwind. Avoid playing when tired, upset, or after consuming alcohol; impaired judgment leads directly to bets that exceed your true comfort level.

Warning signs of problem gambling

Problem gambling rarely arrives all at once. Watch for these early indicators: spending more than your planned budget in a single session, increasing bet sizes to recapture earlier excitement, feeling anxious or irritable on days you cannot play, or using gaming to escape stress rather than for fun. More serious signs include lying to family about losses, borrowing money through apps like LazyPay or friends' UPI accounts to fund play, and returning the next day specifically to "recover" what you lost, a behaviour known as chasing losses.

Emotional signals matter just as much as financial ones. If wins produce intense relief rather than simple enjoyment, or if losses trigger disproportionate distress, those reactions suggest gambling has moved beyond entertainment. If two or more of these patterns feel familiar, act now using the tools described in the next section rather than waiting for the situation to worsen.

Deposit, loss and time limits

BDG Net provides three self-imposed limit types you can activate at any time from the Responsible Gaming section of your account settings. A deposit limit caps how much you can add to your wallet over a rolling 24-hour, 7-day, or 30-day period, for example, setting ₹1,000 per week blocks any additional UPI or card top-up once that threshold is reached. A loss limit works similarly but tracks net losses rather than deposits, stopping play automatically when your losses hit the figure you chose. A session time limit ends your active session after a set number of minutes and prompts a mandatory cool-down before you can log back in.

Limits take effect immediately when you reduce them and require a 24-hour cooling-off period before they can be raised, giving you time to reconsider impulse decisions. Compared with manually deleting a payment method from PhonePe or GPay, which can be re-added in seconds, on-platform limits offer a far more reliable barrier. Review and adjust your limits every month to keep them aligned with your current financial situation.

Self-exclusion and cool-off

If limits alone are not enough, BDG Net offers two stronger options. A cool-off period (1 to 90 days) temporarily suspends your account, you cannot log in, deposit, or place any bet during that window. It is suitable when you feel you need a short break without permanently closing your account. A self-exclusion is a longer-term measure of 6 months, 1 year, or indefinitely. Once self-exclusion is active, it cannot be reversed before the chosen period expires, even if you contact support, this intentional friction protects you from impulsive reversal decisions made in a low moment.

To activate either option, go to Account → Responsible Gaming → Self-Exclusion and follow the three-step confirmation. You will receive an email and SMS confirmation. During self-exclusion, any pending withdrawals are processed normally to your linked bank account or UPI handle. If you attempt to create a new BDG Net account during an active exclusion period, that account will be closed and any deposits refunded.
